Tweaking the Focus

Looking over the last several posts on this blog, I see a lot of videos and images, but not a lot of original content. And since most of my readers are also on my personal Facebook page, that's a little redundant (particularly since I can share vids faster there than on here).

So I'm going to change things up a bit. The "stuff I found" posts will be on Facebook (if you aren't a friend there, drop me a line), while I'll save the longer posts, including List reviews, for here. It means I won't be updating as often, but when I do, it'll be all me.

I already know what the next post will be. A semi-biographical take on my evolution as a geek, and who can be blamed for what I became. :)

Look for it in a short while.

Feed the Geek @ Arisia

In one week, I'll be attending Arisia 2011 in Boston, during which I'll be on various panels:

Fri 6:30pm Introduction to Arisia
Fri 11:00pm Mad Science—Is it Worth the Risk?
Sat 9:30am Cotton-Gin Punk
Sat 12:30pm Comedy and Mad Science
Sat 5:00pm Back in MY Day… Anime
Sat 8:00pm Things Man is Not Meant to Know
Sat 11:00pm IGOR! Throw the SWITCH!!!
Mon 9:30am Mad Scientists
Mon 11:00am Nikolai Tesla: The Man and the Myth

Since I will not have a computer with me, I've set up a Twitter feed, where I'll be posting pics and text from the convention. I've also added it to the sidebar.

Look to the right, then look back

That's The LIST, the semi-official collection of movies I plan on seeing in the next 13 months.

If I post reviews, I'll edit The LIST with links.

Old School

I've been reading sci-fi, fantasy, & comics for over 35 years.

I've seen the highs,

I've seen the lows.

I've felt joy.

I've felt rage.

And I have opinions about it all. *grin*

Welcome to "Beware Of Geek". Hope you survive the experience.
